Steinbach, MB. May 9, 2024 – The аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Vince Hiebert as principal of Woodlawn School, effective September 2024.

Vince has been the principal of Elmdale School since 2018. He served as vice-principal and learning support teacher at Blumenort School from 2015-2018 and as a curriculum support teacher for the Division from 2013-2015. Vince brings classroom teaching experience to his new role, having taught at Clearspring Middle School from 2012-2015 and at Woodlawn School from 2007-2012. Prior to joining the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û in 2007, he held a teaching position in the Sunrise School Division.

Vince earned his Bachelor of Education from the University of Manitoba in 2006 and a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in School Leadership and Administration in 2011.

The Board of Trustees wishes Vince all the best in his new position for the 2024-2025 school year.

Dawn Machel has been appointed to the position of vice-principal for Southwood School, effective September 2024. Dawn has been a teacher at Mitchell Elementary School since 2008. Prior to her current position, she was a teacher in the St. James-Assiniboia School Division (2002-2007) and the River East Transcona School Division (1997-2001).

Marla McEachern has been appointed to the position of vice-principal for Woodlawn School, effective September 2024. Marla has been a teacher in the River East Transcona School Division since 2012.

Steinbach, MB, April 26, 2024 – The аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Thomson as principal of Mitchell Elementary School (MES), effective September 2024.

Jennifer has been the vice-principal at Mitchell Elementary School since September 2023. With 19 years of service at MES, she brings administrative and teaching experience and established community relationships to her new position. During her tenure at MES, Jennifer has served in various capacities: as learning support/guidance in 2022-2023 and 2020-2021 and as interim vice-principal and learning support in 2021-2022. She was a classroom teacher at MES for 15 years, teaching kindergarten from 2012 to 2020 and grades 1-3 from 2005 to 2011. Jennifer also served as an interim teacher at South Oaks School in 2012.

Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Education from the University of Manitoba in 2004 and is currently enrolled in the university’s Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Education (Educational Administration).

Paul brings administrative and teaching experience to his new position at Niverville High School. He is currently the vice-principal and instructional coach at École St. Adolphe in the Seine River School Division, having served in this capacity since August 2022. Paul was also interim principal at École St. Adolphe from September 2023 to January 2024 and served as acting principal at Arborgate School from 2017 to 2022. Paul’s teaching experience includes seven years at Arborgate, where he was a learning support teacher and taught grades 3/4 from 2021-2022 and grades 7/8 and Physical Education from 2015-2022.

Paul earned his Bachelor of Education from the University of Manitoba in 2015 and is currently enrolled in the university’s Post-Baccalaureate Program in Educational Administration.

Marlin has been vice-principal at Green Valley School (GVS) for the past seven years, having served in this role since 2016. Prior to his current position, Marlin was a senior years teacher at Steinbach Regional Secondary School from 2007-2016 and a middle years teacher at Steinbach Junior High School from 1999-2007. Marlin completed his Master of Education (Educational Administration) in 2021.

The Board of Trustees congratulates Marlin on his appointment to Landmark Collegiate and wishes him all the best in his new role.

The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Deanne Froese, CPA, CGA, to the position of Assistant Secretary-Treasurer of the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û, effective November 16, 2022.

Deanne brings a solid academic and work foundation in business and management to her new position, having been employed at Artis REIT in Winnipeg for ten years. Deanne is currently the Senior Director of Property Accounting, having held this position since early 2021. Her previous roles at Artis REIT include Senior Manager of Property Accounting (2019-2020), Manager of Property Accounting (2015-2018), Assistant Manager of Corporate Accounting (2013-2014), and Accounting Supervisor (2012-2013).

Deanne graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree in 2010 and completed her professional accounting designations in 2015.
